I think it’s $10 a piece. This set surprised me without really protecting the top… It’s not simple, but the model is nice, clean, and detailed. I love it. Now, if only they would throw in two pilots… ah, ha ha… we can see you have Death Disease, stop teasing us… 😛 Go to the rain forest to enjoy the fun animals!

The build is very interesting and the finished aircraft looks really good with a lot of detail and great design. I dare suggest that this is the best ship LEGO has made! I really like it for a similar price to Aviation Adventures’ 31011 and I think it matches the 10226 Sopwith Camel although it’s hard to compare because it’s based on very different things.

The Completed Model

There’s more to play with in flying around the plane as it’s a fairly stable model, without a lot of space, but I think the set is even better as a display piece. It looks very full from nose to tail in my opinion and is really a lesson in how mountains can be combined to create a flowing image.

Latest version of 8803-2! The cockpit and engine nacelle are the next parts to be built, again using lots of brackets to create some unusual shapes. A lot of curved slopes are used to enclose the brightly colored pieces, and the hinged pieces create angled air intakes.

It is worth noting that a 1×1 clip and 1×1 tile are used in the cockpit to display the computer screen as they were in the 76042 Shield Helicarrier earlier this year. This technique, once considered ‘illegal’ by set designers, is now making its way into some sets as a result of the redesign of the 1×1 clip.
