Jetstream Sam Thinking, also known as Jetstream Sam’s “I deserve X”, is a meme reader for GIF captions based on a movie sequence that Jetstream Sam’s think. The reading became popular with surrealist and shitpost lyrics that imagined Jetstream Sam considering intrusive thoughts and apparently stupid and harmful things like dipping his testicles in sulfuric acid.

The GIF did not go viral until January 11, 2022, when Redditor[6] LeoWeebK27 captioned it, “I should put my balls in sulfuric acid.” The post served as the trigger point for the spread of both the Jetstream Sam Thinking GIF reading caption and for memes exploring the point of dropping one’s testicles in acid.

Jetstream Sam was introduced in 2013’s Metal Gear Rising: Vengeance. Jetstream Sam’s father was the head of a Brazilian Kenjutsu dojo where he learned the art of the “killing sword”. Sam inherited the sword from his father.
After his father is killed by one of his students, allegedly related to a Brazilian cartel, Sam leaves Brazil, trains and returns to kill the student, then leaves Brazil forever to become a professional , who led many cartels after that.
On May 20, 2021, Tumblr user boy[11] to post a GIF that Sam clicked with the title “CRYPTOCURRENCY IS DYING REPOSIT THIS WILL MAKE YOU DIE FAST” and received more than 44,900 comments in 10 months.
On September 4, 2021, Twitter user[9] @subakeye published an artwork depicting Jetstream Sam after cutting Stuart Little in half, which received 29,600 likes and 6,500 retweets in six months (which shown below). Jetstream Sam has appeared in many historical films before now, but in Mission R-06 Badlands Showdown we finally get involved in a real battle with cyber samurai.
