“I’m letting you know — you’re in provincial lockdown right now — restaurants are not allowed to be open,” one of two Lambton Public Health enforcement officers in the video states. “If you do not shut this down and follow provincial rules, there will be charges coming.”
“This brave restaurant owner STANDS UP to tyrannical lockdown enforcers,” read a post on the official Facebook page of the Republican Party figure and son of former U.S. president Donald Trump. “We love to see it!”

In May 2021, the diner located on the Aamjiwnaang First Nation was charged after allowing indoor dining during the province’s stay-at-home order — despite warnings from police — and fined $880 under the Reopening Ontario Act. Last fall, Stewart told The Journal she would not be complying with vaccine passport requirements or mask mandates.
Excellent service and food! Lots to choose from for breakfast and lots of different stuff, not just the same old choices. Had lunch a while ago, they have a killer club sandwich!! Waitress brought crayons and colouring book over right away for my 2 yr…old granddaughter, Great place!More

It’s of all their times are 7am to 2pm
Arrived at 7:10am for breakfast we got our breakfast at 8:05. It was only 1/2 full.
Issue is this restaurant caters to Nova & Imperial! We saw 3 large orders go out before ours. One order…was being taken over phone after we placed our order.
Won’t be going back for breakfast again. And that is why we only gave a 3star.
It’s too bad because waiters are nice and was good.
Place is nice and clean, with lots of parkingMore
The original video, posted Jan. 14 to the Leaky Tank’s Facebook page, shows public health officials attending the Degurse Drive restaurant to speak with Stewart about provincial restrictions, including a ban on indoor dining that began Jan. 5.
This is a fantastic place to go for breakfast and lunch (don’t know if they do supper) and for all the right reasons: interesting takes on regular menu items (chili and cheese omelette i.e.); very decent portions, great flavour and excellent, friendly service. Oh and…for those with a long memory, corned beef hash! This is far and away my favourite spot for breakfast in the areaMore

we eat breakfast here nearly every Sunday and the portions are very generous. The prices are very good. The staff, especially Linda and Miranda are always very very pleasant. Smiles and a warm welcome mean a lot to customers. Today I had the chicken fried…steak and it was excellent, John had the combo and the bean soup which is the best ever.

“I think it’s very challenging to be called names and be exposed to that kind of vitriol,” he said. “Obviously if you look at the social media response on that, as a theme, it’s quite negative towards our staff and those officers who were just conducting an inspection of an operator that’s clearly doing things that are not allowed at this time.
Lots of pieces of perch, fries & coleslaw,a lot more pieces of perch this time included with this take out meal then the previous was very surprised and the whole take out meal was good for the price paid.

“These measures are meant to protect everyone in the community from the spread of the COVID-19 virus until it is under control. Our intent is to ensure everyone’s well-being by minimizing the spread of the COVID 19 virus. The hope is that we can all return to a normal way of life soon.”
By far the best breakfast in the Sarnia area. Big portions and everything is perfectly executed. Unfortunately, this restaurant was one of the few in this country to stand up for itself during pandemic so weirdos feel the need to come on here and create…libellous reviews, undermining their ability to do business. Don’t believe the Covid kooks and regardless of your political views, you can confidently start your morning with a superb breakfast experience at the leaky tank ……. ??More
